Sunset from the Hellfire Club
I took a walk up to the Hellfire Club in the foothills of the Dublin Mountains the other evening, and caught the last bit of light before the sun set and the weather started to turn bad. This is probably the best of the images that I captured. A sliver of west Dublin is just about visible in the distance.
This is a merge of three images (+/- 2 EV) and has been processed by HDR Efex Pro, which I’ve been playing around with a little, to ‘drama’-up the sky somewhat.
I haven’t been up to the Hellfire Club since I was the scouts, and had forgotton how amazing the view over the city is. Shameful, as it’s only about 15 or 20 minutes drive from my house. I must try to get up there again to get a few more photos.

Steve, thanks for that.
It’s an amazing location so close to the city, and pretty spooky when it starts to get dark. Definitely worth trying to get back up there for a decent sunset (or sunrise, if I can get myself out of bed early enough).
